Kalichu (stylized as kalichu™) is a Vrchat VJ who joined the club scene as a dancer. Being in the scene for years, she was fortunate to run into VRDJ Bartz99 and other VRCP staff. Since her private debut in JustParty, she's involved herself in hosting, avatar optimizing, and organizing, among (ඞ) other roles as a way to give back to the community that originally brought her here.
Immediately, she found herself immersed in the world of niche subgenres of EDM, and never looked back since. Although her avatar looks clean (often sporting a pair of neon hologram cat ears and a glitch springjoint), her visuals are far from it. Usually using data mosh and other glitchcore techniques, it's almost certain you'll leave will epilepsy or blindness.
What?
Kali™ can usually be seen on European friday and saturday nights, at the front of every dance floor swirling around her springjoint. "I met so many cool DJs in real life and in VR this way, I'll just be [here] whipping around my spring joint- of course in real life I don't have one I use a light whip instead- dancing next to the DJ booth."
Note: she usually does double acts and stands behind the booth when VJing- rarely would she VJ from the back of the room
Beginnings
Why a VJ you might ask? "I'm kinda forced to learn [how to VJ] since I study technical theatre- all that means is that I have to stare at Resolume 24/7 and program lights and visuals a certain way. College classes come in handy ay?"
She now collaborates with NoKo and DJSARIA, working through the world of shitpost visuals and Makina sfx.
